Dubai Metro has automated driverless and fully air-conditioned trains and their stations. The train is operated by Serco which is owned by RTA (Roads and Transport Authority). The Metro began its operation on 9th September 2009 under the directive of Dubai’s Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
