Mangaluru: A person suspected of being infected with the Nipah virus has tested negative

 The guy who was taken to the district Wenlock Hospital here with suspected Nipah virus has tested negative, informed the Dakshina Kannada district health officer. The individual in question works as a microbiologist in a Goa-based laboratory that produces RT-PCR kits.





He was drenched in rain while riding his motorcycle to his Karwar home. He had a fever two days before. The individual had researched the data using Google and assumed that he was sick with the Nipah virus. He had been admitted to the hospital based on this assessment. His throat swab, blood, and urine samples were taken and sent to a lab in Pune for analysis.
